The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) allows you to change your name in your Aadhaar card. You can do this online or offline.
To change your name online, you need to have a valid Aadhaar number and a registered mobile number. You can follow these steps:
Go to the UIDAI website and log in with your Aadhaar number and password.
Click on the "Update Aadhaar" tab.
Under "Personal Details", click on "Change Name".
Enter your new name and upload a scanned copy of a document that proves your new name.
Click on the "Submit" button.
The UIDAI will verify your request and update your name in your Aadhaar card. You will receive an SMS or email confirmation once your request has been processed.
To change your name offline, you need to visit an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre. You will need to bring the following documents:
Your Aadhaar card
A valid ID proof
A proof of your new name
The Aadhaar enrolment officer will verify your documents and update your name in your Aadhaar card. You will receive an updated Aadhaar card within 15 days.

Please note that you can only change your name in your Aadhaar card once. If you need to change your name again, you will need to apply for an exception.
Here are some of the reasons why you may need to apply for an exception to change your name in your Aadhaar card:
If your name was wrongly entered in your Aadhaar card at the time of enrolment.
If you have lost your marriage certificate or other documents that prove your name.
If you have changed your name after marriage.
To apply for an exception, you need to visit an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre. You will need to bring the following documents:
Your Aadhaar card
A valid ID proof
A document that proves why you need to change your name.
The Aadhaar enrolment officer will verify your documents and submit your request for an exception. The UIDAI will review your request and will approve or reject it within 30 days. If your request is approved, you will receive an updated Aadhaar card within 15 days.
